Ádám Katona
Ádám Katona joined the E.ON Hungária Group in 2011 as process engineer. In 2014, he was appointed Head of Operational Excellence, leading the Lean Program in Hungary and two years later in the UK as well. From 2018, as Chief Integration Officer, he managed the integration of E.ON and innogy in Hungary. In 2021, he became the Managing Director of ELMŰ Hálózati Kft., and from 1 January 2023, the Deputy CEO for Energy Networks of the E.ON Hungária Group.
Antonello Monti
Antonello Monti received his Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, Italy, in 1994. He started his career with Ansaldo Industria and then held different academic positions in Italy and USA. Since 2008, he has been the Director of the Institute for Automation of Complex Power System, E.ON Energy Research Center, RWTH Aachen University, Germany. Since 2019 he also has a joined appointment at Fraunhofer FIT, Center for Digital Energy Aachen. Prof. Monti is the coordinator of relevant European projects such as TwinEU and IntNet.
Anvidalfarei Thomas
Since 2020, Thomas Anvidalfarei has been serving as the Technical Assistant to the Management at KNG – DSO in Carinthia, a federal state in southern Austria. Since joining the company in 2017, he has successfully implemented several projects especially in the field of strategic grid development. He played a key role in setting up GreenSwitch – a cross-border CEF-funded project with Croatia and Slovenia in the smart grids category – and is currently actively supporting its implementation.
Eduardo Vega Fanjul
Eduardo Vega Fanjul is a Project Advisor for CEF co-funded electricity and smart grids projects at CINEA, European Commission. He oversees the implementation of a diverse portfolio of smart grid Projects of Common Interest (PCIs), ensuring their alignment with European energy goals. Eduardo is an energy infrastructure specialist with previous experience in various European programs such as Horizon Europe, as well as in the development of large-scale energy projects for the private sector. He holds a degree in Energy Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and a Master’s in Strategic European Project Management from the Polytechnic University of Milano.
Flore Patrat-Delon
Flore Patrat Delon has 20 years experience in the energy sector with responsibilities in energy markets, corporate strategy, strategic transformations and EU policy affairs. In the first part of her career, she was the Deputy Project Director in Central Asia for projects funded by international organizations to support legal, regulatory and policy capacity building of beneficiaries in energy and climate change. She is now responsible for EU Regulation for E.ON SE, building on previous experience gained in EU Affairs at the French utility Engie. Her work is at the intersection between EU regulation, digitalization and grids business. She is also the vice-chair of the Digitalization Task Force within the EU DSO Entity. Flore holds a Master in Public affairs from Sciences-Po Paris (2003, Paris, France) and a Master of Business Administration from WHU (2022, Düsseldorf, Germany).
Felipe Castro Barrigon
Felipe Castro is a policy officer in the European Commission in the area of Energy Security and Safety, domain of cybersecurity. He joined the European Commission first in the Internal Audit Services and then the Directorate-General of Energy, dealing with technology and cybersecurity topics. Currently he is working on cybersecurity legislation and digitalization in the energy sector. He holds a master degree in telecommunication engineering from the University of Valladolid (Spain) and a second Master in Business Administration by the University UNED (Spain). He worked 17 years in telecommunications in the private sector in Germany, France and Belgium. He is also affiliated professor in the Business School SKEMA in France.
Gergő Gyebnár
Gergő Gyebnár is the CEO of Black Cell. With over a decade of experience in IT security and a background in business development and leadership, he brings valuable expertise to the role. As CEO, Gergő is responsible for leading the expansion of Black Cell’s OT Security and Detection Engineering services worldwide. Leveraging his expertise in security operations and threat intelligence, Gergő is constantly looking for ways to create new services that meet evolving needs and develop strategic visions. He is committed to delivering high-quality services that meet the needs of Black Cell’s clients, while also staying ahead of the curve in terms of technological advancements in the field of IT security. Guntram Würzberg
Dr. Guntram Würzberg studied Law at University of Göttingen. He holds a PhD in Law and took part in several Executive Programs of Harvard Business School and MIT, Boston. He joined the Legal Department of E.ON AG in 2001 and held several positions as General Counsel in different E.ON group companies thereafter. In 2003, he worked in the US as in-house counsel for Regulatory Affairs at LG&E. From 2004 to 2006 he changed to the real-estate business for German based Viterra (todays Vonovia) as Head of Legal and HR Director, before he then took over as General Counsel and later HR Director for E.ON Ruhrgas AG. He became the Head of Corporate Audit for the E.ON Group in 2014. From January 2017 until July 2022 he served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer with E.ON SE. Dr. Guntram Würzberg took over as CEO of E.ON Hungária Group in July 2022.
Karol Kósa
In the years 1997 – 2003, he studied at the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava, specializing in Power Engineering. He completed his engineering study in the field of Electricity Production, Transmission and Distribution. He completed his doctoral study in the years 2007-2012 in the same field with the title of his final dissertation theses The Influence of Wind Power Plants on the Electricity System of the Slovak Republic. In the years 2002 – 2021, he worked for the company Slovenská elektrizačná prenosová sústava, a.s. (operator of the electricity transmission system on the territory of the Slovak Republic), where in the years 2013 – 2021 he worked in the position of executive director of the electricity system development section, where he was responsible for the development of the transmission system, preparation of new projects and connection to the transmission system. In the years 2021 – 2023, he worked at Transpetrol, a.s. (operator of the oil transportation system in the territory of the Slovak Republic), where in 2021 – 2022 he worked as the director of the operation and transportation department and in 2022 – 2023 as the director of the oil transportation department, where he was responsible for activities related to the operation of the oil pipeline system and for technical and commercial aspects of oil transportation. Since 2024, he has again been working as the executive director of the electricity system development section in the company Slovenská elektrizačná prenosová sústava, a.s
Konstantinos Moulinos
Moulinos is an expert in the network and information security (NIS) area. He is the manager of ENISA’s energy cybersecurity related projects. He has worked for more than 10 years as an information systems auditor and for twelve years he contacted ENISA as an expert in the area of critical information infrastructure protection (CIIP). Moulinos has been awarded a diploma in informatics, a master of science in information systems and a Ph.D. in privacy enhancing technologies. He has more than 20 peer-reviewed publications covering areas such as information and network security, CIIP, data protection and privacy-enhancing technologies. He has served the NIS area from various posts: as an Information Systems’ auditor on behalf of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA), as a security expert of ENISA (the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity), as a scientist during his doctoral research, as a researcher involved in various NIS European projects, as an advisor participating in various technical committees and last but not least as a guest speaker at several seminars, public discussions and lectures.
Layla Sawyer
Since 2022, Layla Sawyer is the Secretary General of CurrENT, the voice of innovative grid technology companies in Europe. She was previously Head of Business Development at smartEn, where she worked on demand-side flexibility, digitalisation and the future of prosumer models. She has also worked at Urgenda, a national climate NGOs in the Netherlands, advocating for more urgency in the Dutch energy transition, and she spent a year in the Philippines working for a social investment fund specialized in climate resilient enterprises. She studied Sustainable Business and Innovation at the University of Utrecht, with a special focus on energy and material transitions and p2p energy trading.
Marian Kapec
Marian Kapec is the member of the board of directors and the financial director at Západoslovenská distribučná, a.s. and Východoslovenská distribučná, a.s. These regional distribution system operators ensure the distribution of electricity in western and eastern Slovakia (app. 70% market share in Slovakia). Marian Kapec has joined the energy sector in 2006 and has been responsible for finance and grid sales including the price regulation.
Martin Magath
Martin Magath graduated from Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. He started his career in the company ABB, s.r.o., where he occupied several positions. From 2005 he was a member of Board of Directors in Stredoslovenská energetika – Distribúcia, a. s., as well as a director of Asset management. From 2015 he worked in the company 4EN, s.r.o., as an executive manager. On 23.11.2023 he was appointed as the chairman of the Board of Directors and the CEO of Slovenská elektrizačná prenosová sústava, a.s.
Norbert Niklai
Norbert Niklai has nearly 25 years of experience in the Energy Industry. He currently serves as the Head of Security and Crisis Management at E.ON Hungária Group, where he leads the organization responsible for Cybersecurity, Physical and Personal Security, Business Continuity, and Crisis Management. Under his leadership, Norbert successfully established a unified, strong local security organization that leverages synergies across various protective functions. A significant achievement of his team has been the development of the OT (Operational Technology) cybersecurity framework from scratch, which now functions reliably and meets the necessary industry standards.
Ona Kostinaitė-Grinkevičienė
Ona Kostinaitė-Grinkevičienė is Head of Sector for CEF co-funded electricity and smart grids projects at CINEA, European Commission. Previously she was an energy diplomat representing her home country in the Council. She also worked in various positions related to the EU in the national administration and as a lawyer in private sector. She held a Master’s in European studies from Vilnius University and a Master’s in law from the Mykolas Romeris University in Vilnius.
Uros Salobir
Uroš Salobir has been working at the Slovenian transmission system operator ELES for over 25 years. He has worked on management and coordination in power system operations, electricity markets, infrastructure projects, and technical information systems during this period. He pioneered ELES’s strategic innovation activities and was responsible for implementing some of the most challenging innovation projects in ELES’s history. In 2017, he helped establish the Strategic Innovation Department he is currently leading. In addition, he and his team recently launched the first cross-sector partnerships and projects with the mobility, clean gases, and heating and cooling sectors. He is the Chair of the ENTSO-E Research and Development Committee (RDIC) and holds prominent positions in CIGRE and EGVIAfor2Zero.
Ricardo Renedo Williams
Ricardo Renedo Williams is a Team Leader at Mr Balke’s Unit since March 2021. Ricardo is an expert on electricity grids and coordinates policy on distribution networks and smart electricity grids.
Previously, Ricardo worked at the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E) as an electricity market specialist. Ricardo is an energy engineer with two master’s degrees.
Rebecca Samuelsson
Rebecca Samuelsson, educational background in engineering with a Master in Sustainable Energy Systems. Work experience of 10 years in energy infrastructures, both in the electricity and gas sector. Currently at E.ON Energy Networks Sweden working as a business developer with flexibility solutions with the objective of connecting customers faster to enable the energy transition and electrification of society. Focusing on regulatory prerequisites for flexibility solutions and have the last year been involved in the working groups developing the new network code of demand response.
Dr. István Vokony
Dr. István Vokony, an electrical engineer and engineer-economist, holds a summa cum laude doctorate from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME). He is an associate professor at BME’s Department of Electric Power Engineering and the former Head of Strategy and Architecture at E.ON Digital Technology Hungary. His primary research focuses on the integration of renewable energy sources, dynamic stability analysis, and the behavior of inertia-less systems. He’s is also a board member of the IEEE Power & Energy Society and the Hungarian Electrotechnical Association.
